Northern Lights – Some Reflections on Legal Scholarship in Scotland

The Scottish Parliament was the venue for the second of the Centenary Lectures of the Society of Legal Scholars.

The event was hosted by Bill Aitken, MSP, convener of the Parliament’s Justice Committee. 

Professor Thomson spoke of the role of legal scholarship, using his choice of ‘Desert Island Law Books’ to illustrate his talk.

The lecture attracted a distinguished audience of 70 people drawn from all branches of the Scottish legal world.
