The SLS supports legal research and scholarship through the Research Activities Fund Awards

Each year the Society sets aside a fund (currently £12,500) available for research awards in the coming year.  This has previously been called the Academic Purposes Fund (APF) and has been administered by the Academic Purposes Committee.  However as from 2010 the rules have been revised to better reflect the key aims of this Fund and it is now called the Research Activities Fund (administered by the Research Awards Committee).

Applications are invited each year from members of the Society. Applications will be invited for the next round as from 1st January and must be received by the Administrative Secretary, Sally Thomson by email, no later than 5pm on the first Monday of March.
