The Research Activities Fund (formerly called the Academic Purposes Fund)

Home >> Research >> The Research Activities Fund

The SLS supports legal research and scholarship through the Research Activities Fund Awards.

Each year the Society sets aside a fund (currently £10,000) available for research awards in the coming year.  This has previously been called the Academic Purposes Fund (APF) and has been administered by the Academic Purposes Committee.  However as from 2010 the rules have been revised to better reflect the key aims of this Fund and it will be called the Research Activities Fund (administered by the Research Awards Committee).

Applications are invited each year from members of the Society. Applications are now being invited for the 2010 round and must be received by the Administrative Secretary, Sally Thomson, no later than 1st March 2010.
