Winners of the SLS 2016 Best Paper Prize

The SLS 2016 Best Paper Prize has been awarded to Maria Lee (UCL) for her paper ‘Knowledge of landscape in wind energy planning’, which was presented within the Environmental Law section. The paper will appear in the first issue of Legal Studies in 2017. Many congratulations to Maria!

Congratulations are also due to Kevin Crosby (Newcastle) and Nicolas Rennuy (York) who were shortlisted for the prize. Kevin’s paper, ‘Keeping Women off the Jury in 1920s England’ was presented within the Legal History section and Nicolas’ paper, ‘Solidarity and its variable boundaries: EU law and welfare benefits’, was presented within the EU & Competition section.

We would like to thank all those who entered the competition. The field was very strong this year, which made judging a very challenging but rewarding task. Please do consider entering in 2017.
