Submissions

Legal Studies is a generalist peer-reviewed law journal and aims to include a varied range of scholarly articles in each issue. The book reviews section is an important feature of the journal, in which distinguished writers provide major academic reviews of recent contributions to legal literature. The editors are keen to encourage articles which:

- Analyse the history, development and contemporary status of law with particular reference to doctrinal, conceptual, theoretical, comparative or socio-legal analyses such that they are of interest to a general legal readership international.
- Place current legal developments in historical and theoretical perspectives.
- Analyse contributions to the study of law in the fields of jurisprudence, legal history, and international and comparative law.

The journal is in the process of moving to online submission, but until then submissions not exceeding 10,000 words should be sent by means of an e-mail attachment to any or all of the Editors: Imelda Maher (imelda.maher@ucd.ie), Blanaid Clarke (blanaid.clarke@ucd.ie), Fiona de Londras (fiona.delondras@ucd.ie) or Colin Scott (colin.scott@ucd.ie). The Editors will be pleased to discuss possible articles for consideration. Those interested in reviewing a title for Legal Studies should contact the book reviews editor, Fiona de Londras (fiona.delondras@ucd.ie).
