Brunel University London: Legal Practice Lecturer

Brunel University London’s Law School are seeking to appoint a Legal Practice Lecturer. The role will be mainly situated within the Brunel Law School and will require the holder to develop and deliver a programme designed to equip graduating students with relevant and vital professional skills, and to lead on Brunel Law School’s response to the changing approach to training and education in England and response to the changes in the professional qualifications requirements (the Solicitors’ Qualifying Examinations, or “SQE”) announced by the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority (“SRA”).

The appointee must be a qualified barrister or solicitor with a current practising certificate in England and Wales, with proven significant post-qualification experience. The appointee must have a PhD (or equivalent) in Law or have equivalent professional experience. It is expected that the appointee will at the same time continue with her or his own professional legal practice on a part-time basis.
