Presidential Invitation
I am very pleased to be welcoming everyone to Keele in September when the Society of Legal Scholars will be celebrating its Centenary at the Annual Conference.
I hope you will be able to join us as we reflect on the achievements of legal scholars over the past century, consider current debates across the whole range of legal scholarship, and spend some time thinking about the future of the legal education in which so many legal scholars are involved.
Since the Centenary Conference is also a time for celebration, the social programme will reflect that fact, with different ″champagne moments″ each evening. Keele′s award-winning team of chefs will also be pulling out all the stops to give participants a special dining experience!
Keele is an ideal venue for a conference. All the sessions will be in the Chancellors Building, close to the publisher′s stands, which will be located in the tea/coffee venue. IT facilities and plenary sessions are in the same area. The campus at Keele is very attractive, and participants will enjoy a short stroll to the ensuite accommodation, much of which has been newly refurbished.
The Centenary Conference is a really special occasion for the Society and I hope it will be a stimulating and enjoyable experience for everyone who attends.
I look forward to meeting you at Keele in September.
